Guernsey County Children Services
Safety, Protection, and Permanency

“My husband Chris and I have been Foster-Adoptive parents for the past six years. We started out as a three member family; when we felt a calling to help children overcome   growing up in a family with neglect and abuse as a way of life. Little did we know that we would end up doubling the size   of our family through adoption. We were respite providers   for a little girl, that we fell in love with and came up for adoption. She was our first addition. We then received a  call about a little boy just born premature with many health issues. His outcome didn't look good, but today, he is our healthy three year old son. Our most recent addition has been our son’s biological brother, who is now two years old. We have made many great memories throughout the years, that have come with joy and laughter as well as with tears and heartbreak.  Despite all the tears, we would never change a moment of it. The experience of being a member of the Guernsey County  Children Services family has been a very rewarding one not only for our family, but for the 14 children and their families that we have been involved with.”
